Preparing for Drum Corps- Colorguard Edition

Image
With the past and upcoming tryouts for the 2019 drum corps season in motion, I thought this post would be a great one that most of my friends could relate to. Preparing pre tour for drum corps is essential for a better experience with your corps, in my opinion, not everyone thinks so, but I bet you will after this post.                     When I say preparing I mean very specific things, not just raising money or gathering items for tour, or even the infamous packing for tour. What I mean is preparing your body, preparing your skills and most importantly preparing your mind. One of the top reasons members leave within the first few weeks of tour, besides injuries, is mental stability. And that is totally okay, never feel like if that has happened to you that it was the wrong decision because you need to take care of your body and ...

Tips and Tricks to taking classes online

Image
Happy St. Patricks Day Everyone!! I know the world is CRAZY and I know everyone wants to RAGE, but like can we just not for once? If you are college or high school student and your classes have been moved to online the rest of the semester and you are specifically a senior, I completely understand the anger, the sadness, and the resentment, but none of that is going to help your grades and help you achieve greatness in the face of adversity. This is your moment to show life that you are resilient. With that being said, it is completely normal and okay to have these feelings and it is okay to take time to express these feelings. Expressing our feelings about a situation is the most important step to moving on. Keywords in that sentence are moving on. The online classes are coming and it can't be stopped now, so as to benefit yourself academically, you have to get in the right mindset and headspace. That is totally easier said than done, but I am going to share with you a short ...

VoxBox Review from Influenster!

Image
Hey Guys and Gals, Today I wanted to make a post/review of something I recently have joined in on doing and wanted to give my thoughts on if it was real or worth it.  Recently I joined the influenster app. if you do not know what that is, I will explain briefly. Basically, what it is, is an online platform in the form of an app where you compile all of your followings from almost any social media app or website you can think of. Your goal is to get a high impact score, because with a high impact score comes the opportunity to review full sized products for influenster. Companies send products as advertisements to influenster and influenster chooses social media users to review those products, good or bad. Now, if you are thinking I do not have many followers, so I couldn't possible get on board, well neither did I / Do i. I think within all of my social medias added together I only have barley over 1000 followers. They key here is to participate in the reviews on the app from...

Introducing My YouTube Channel

If you do not know by now, I have a YouTube channel. I have had it for a couple of months. I started off with a couple of vlogs as I did not really know what types of videos I wanted to post or film, let alone how inexperienced I was in front of a camera. After filming what I describe as the same vlog over and over again because my days do not change much during the week, as in I go to the same job, do the same things everyday, I felt like no one wanted to see a repeat of me doing what I had just done the day before, so I started being more creative and discovering who I was as a  You Tuber.           If you know me personally, you know I have a fascination with photography and videography, so naturally creating any type of content, photo or video wise, is very fun and relaxing to me. It is sort of my creative outlet right now since I have no school or color guard to lean on at the moment. It has been so fun and relaxing...

A journey in 66 days

Image
Starting my journey.... Journey; noun; an act of traveling from one place to another. Is my journey considered a journey? What is my journey? My 'journey' is how I am restarting my fitness lifestyle. In 2016, I had a lot of built up anger towards a lot of people and I did not like that. After doing a lot of research I figured going to the gym would help relieve a lot of that stress... and it did and bonus I lost 33 lbs. I started January 2017 after a very miserable Christmas in 2016. I did it for a complete year and during Christmas of 2017 I was so happy with who I was with that the gym and eating healthy slipped out of my grasp. Once back to school in 2018 for spring semester, school, work, and attempting to move to a different state took over and my healthy lifestyle never saw daylight again... until now. Now I am back. No excuses. I have had my time to settle in to my new life and now it is time to get my life together. I feel motivated... maybe even more motiv...

New Years Resolutions

Image
Everyone has them, even if they say they don't, they secretly do. It is our way of saying that what was done the previous year was okay because we will just try and make it better in the new year. Whatever bad things we did, failures we had, and troubles we endured can all be washed away now because the new year is here and we shall start fresh. Right? Just 8% of people successfully keep their new years resolutions. Are you part of that 8%? What resolutions will you make this year that you will not end up keeping? What resolutions do you really want to keep? A resolution is like a promise to yourself and keeping a promise to yourself is just as important, if not more important, as keeping one to your best friend, because in the end, its you who is with you then entire way. Remember that, that a resolution is a promise to yourself, so lets all try to keep ours this year!                                 ...

If you are struggling to find last minute gift ideas for upcoming Christmas or Holiday parties, here is a list of easy and simple gifts that won't break the bank. One thing that should become your best friend when finding last minute gifts for parties and such is DOLLAR TREE. This store is amazing when it comes to finding little things to put in gift bags or boxes. It takes a little effort though to make your gift look a little more sophisticated, but if that does not matter to you then this should be even easier. 1. MUGS WITH NAMES OR INITIALS OR SAYINGS:  This is one of my favorite things to do from dollar tree. I love putting peoples initials on the mugs from dollar tree and then adding little candies or treats from dollar tree inside the mug. Wrap tissue paper around it and tie it or put it in a gift bag and you are good to go! Materials for this gift: Sharpie Mug Bag or tissue paper Cost: abt $3 per mug 2.
