If you are struggling to find last minute gift ideas for upcoming Christmas or Holiday parties, here is a list of easy and simple gifts that won't break the bank.
One thing that should become your best friend when finding last minute gifts for parties and such is DOLLAR TREE. This store is amazing when it comes to finding little things to put in gift bags or boxes. It takes a little effort though to make your gift look a little more sophisticated, but if that does not matter to you then this should be even easier.
1. MUGS WITH NAMES OR INITIALS OR SAYINGS:

This is one of my favorite things to do from dollar tree. I love putting peoples initials on the mugs from dollar tree and then adding little candies or treats from dollar tree inside the mug. Wrap tissue paper around it and tie it or put it in a gift bag and you are good to go!
Materials for this gift:
Sharpie
Mug
Bag or tissue paper
Cost: abt $3 per mug
2. CANDY BOXES:

This one you can get creative with! Not only does dollar tree sell the cutest little gift boxes that you can use, they also sell plain boxes that you can make unique and fit each person's personality...if you are dedicated enough. There are also a TON of options of different candies and things that come in bags that you can buy and also most dollar trees sell boxed brownies and cookies that you could home make to make the box a little more special!
Materials for this gift:
Gift box
boxed brownies or cookies
2 options of candies
Tissue paper (to put the treats on!)
Cost: abt $5 per box
3. SPA DAY BAG OR BOX:

Continuing on with the box theme, another good idea, especially for the ladies, although this could be made for a guy as well, is a spa box. I LOVE getting soaps and lotions and things as gifts from people. It gives me a mini vacation to my very own spa on a Saturday night! Dollar tree has a lot of random bath and body stuff. Every dollar tree may have something a little different, so this can really be played with, but I can give you some options to look for if you are completely lost on what to put in the box.
Materials for this gift:
Box or Bag
Lotion
Soap
Body Wash or Bubbles (I have found bubbles for baths at a dollar tree once!)
Soft Socks (I have found some of my favorite socks at dollar tree!)
tissue paper or paper confetti for decoration!
Cost: abt $6 per box but really depends on how extravagant you make it!
4.COOKIE MIX JAR OR CONTAINER

I have found cookie mix, cake mix, flour, sugar, and even chocolate chips at multiple dollar trees. This one sort of depends on what your dollar tree has. Mine sells mini bags of sugar and mini bags of flour and packs of chocolate chips. But if yours does not sell this stuff just buy the cookie mixes that every dollar tree sells and dump it into a cute container or jar and call it a day! You could also buy a regular chocolate bar and chop it up into chunks to sub for the chocolate chips! If they don't have suitable jars or containers for your taste, take a cute glass cup or jar sold in the dinning stuff of dollar tree and put a piece of seran wrap over the top to seal it good and then top that with either tissue paper or wrapping paper, secure with ribbon! ( both sold at dollar tree!).
Materials for this gift:
Jar or Glass
Wrapping paper or tissue paper
package of flour
package of sugar
chocolate chips
ribbon
Materials if your dollar tree doesn't sell mini flour or sugar :
Jar or glass
Cookie mix or brownie mix
Chocolate bar
Wrapping paper or tissue paper
ribbon
Cost: $6 per jar
5. MONOGRAMMED ANYTHING:

This one can be the easiest of all of these but also the most expensive depending on where you get your items but still doable. People these days LOVE their monograms. They love having their initials on any and everything. Its the perfect gift. There are two options to completing this at dollar tree. The first step will be the same for both options. STEP ONE: Go to dollar tree and buy socks or hair brushes or hats or scarves or even pot holders or anything you could basically monogram for anyone. Find something you know a specific person would like. I have even found little wallets and bags at dollar tree before. Let your imagination run wild with this part. SECOND STEP: this is where it could be easy and cheap or a little more pricey. If you own a cricut or silhouette machine or anything you can monogram with (maybe even an old bedazzle ) then you probably have little left over squares or odd shaped pieces of iron or stick on vinyl pieces. Recycle those left over pieces to cut out initials or even sayings and names if you have enough pieces to adhere to the items you buy at dollar tree. If you do not own any of these items then another option is to go to Walmart or a craft store and buy iron letters or words. This way you still get the same outcome but for a little more dollarsss.
Materials for this gift:
Machine to use for monogramming (if you have it already)
Item to monogram
Iron letters, words, pictures (if you don't own a machine)
Cost: 1$ per item you monogram if you own a machine and have left over scraps
6$ per item if you do not own a machine and need to buy iron on items
I hope these gifts gave you at least some inspiration to finish your Christmas shopping and to stop procrastinating it until the last moment because it CAN BE MADE EASY!! Alot of the times its not about how much the gift cost, its about the thought that went into it, and sometimes a gift that was put together and made by YOU that cost 2$ to make is a lot more special than a 50$ gift you order off amazon. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays! My next blog post probably will not be out until the first of the new year!!!! Have a great Christmas!!
